Is bulk redaction possible?

Yes. Our Basic plan and above supports multi-file uploads with batch download as a zip file. Pro users also get Redact Folders for processing entire directories, plus API access for programmatic batch redaction.

Can I create custom redaction categories and search patterns?

Yes. The Pro plan includes a configurable redaction engine where you can define custom categories, keywords, and regex patterns to target specific data types like internal IDs or industry-specific terminology.

Is on-premise deployment available

Yes. We offer on-premise installation for Enterprise customers requiring data to remain within their own infrastructure.

Is there a document redaction API?

Yes. Pro and Enterprise plans include API access for integrating redaction into your workflows or document management systems.

What file types can be redacted?

We support PDF, Word (DOCX, DOC), Excel (XLSX, XLS), PowerPoint (PPTX), email (MSG, EML) and images (PNG, JPEG). Redacted files are converted to PDF with the sensitive content permanently removed.

Do you handle scanned documents and images?

Yes. Our engine includes built-in OCR to recognize and redact text in scanned PDFs and images.

Is the redaction permanent and secure?

Yes. The redaction is irreversible. Removing both the visual text you see in the document and the underlying text layer that can be selected and searched. The original content cannot be recovered, meeting requirements for legal discovery, FOIA, and regulatory compliance.

Does your redaction tool support GDPR and HIPAA compliance?

Yes. Built-in detection covers PII under GDPR and PHI under HIPAA, including names, addresses, national IDs, dates of birth, and medical record numbers.
